As owner of Century 21 Venture Ltd. for the past 33 years Holmes has been Vice President of the Maine association of Realtors, Realtor of the Year on two occasions, chosen to charter the Maine Commercial Board of Realtors, and was its first President. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Maine State Association of Realtors and is a past Director of the Maine Commercial Association of Realtors. As an Instructor at the University of Maine at Augusta, Holmes taught the Maine Real Estate license courses on the state-wide ITV system. Holmes was appointed to the National Century 21 Commercial Advisory Board and has taught courses in Commercial Leasing and Negotiation at their international conferences. Current memberships include CCIM Candidate (Certified Commercial Investment Member), ICSC (International Council Shopping Centers), Maine Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors.

Holmes is certified by Harvard Law School as an Instructor under the PON’S (Program on Negotiation) method for teaching negotiation and has put on seminars for Realtor’s, the State of Maine Tax School, and the Century 21 system.

In the past, Bruce worked in newspaper advertising, radio advertising, and once owned an advertising agency. He worked as a project manager for a large construction firm with offices in Boston, Ma. and Augusta, Maine, ending his term of employment as Vice President of their multi state development company. During that time he was involved in the site acquisition, development, and leasing of office buildings and subsidized housing projects. While in Boston, Holmes also worked with Meredith and Grew, Endeavor Architects, New England Communities, and R M Bradley Real Estate. In addition to real estate brokerage, Holmes owns Asset Real Estate Management Company, which manages apartments, shopping plazas, and office buildings.

Holmes’ experience ranges from shopping center management and extensive commercial leasing to a company record of over 800 units of multifamily sales. The firm works with commercial buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, and developers from throughout New England in the sale of retail and commercial buildings and commercial sites.
