Originally the property started as Foss Hall, a women's dormitory, and was part of the original Colby College campus prior to Colby College moving to its current location on Mayflower Hill in Waterville. In the early to mid-1950's, the building was updated and rehabilitated to serve as a private catholic school known as Sacred Heart.
