As of August 1, 2019 Anthony (Tony) joined the Portland, Maine Real Estate Brokerage firm of Spectrum Real Estate. Tony has been a Licensed Maine Real Estate Broker since 1982, licensed in New Hampshire since 2003 and practicing commercial realty since 1997. Tony achieved a Business Administration degree from the University of Maine, followed by Master's Degree in Public Administration with an advanced degree in Urban Planning from the University Muskie School of Public Policy. Tony specializes in site location of development at passenger rail transit stations for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) and Smart Growth design. TOD passenger rail sites support mixed land uses, the critical component of achieving better places to live. By developing residential, commercial and recreational uses in close proximity to transit sites, walking paths or biking trails, these sites become more viable for a more livable walkable community. In today's economy, investors find that by mixing land uses, they make neighborhoods attractive to professionals who are considering quality-of-life-criteria as well as salary to determine where they will settle; professionals that in turn attract quality business looking for talent.
